This participatory science project was created through the iNaturalist platform in 2020 to document the variety of plants, animals and fungi found at the Greenbury Point Conservation Area. iNaturalist is a free online community that allows users to share and discuss observations of nature. Visitors are encouraged to participate by snapping photos during their visit and uploading them to the iNaturalist site. The data is accessible to researchers, educators, hobbyists and anyone with an interest in learning about the living world around us.
